Microchipping:
This can be done by an accredited microchipper during a consultation.
It permanently identifies your pet for life using a barcoded implant that is given like a vaccination between the shoulder blades.
By law all dogs and cats require microchipping. If you are a passing on a pet to its new owner it is your responsibility that the pet is microchipped and the details are in the new owners name.
You have up until 6 months of age for your pet to be then registered with your local council or you could get a fine.
It is a good idea to have your pet desexed before this time so when you register with the local council you will receive a discount.
